Situated in the West Highlands of Scotland, set amidst spectacular scenery in

Ardnamurchan is well known for it's unique splendour and is one of the most
unspoilt regions in the Highlands. One can visit at any time of year and be
enthralled by the natural beauty of the area. There is also an abundance of
wildlife - otters, golden eagles, seals, porpoises, pine martens and red deer
(which can be spotted a short walk up the hill to the back of the holiday cottage).
Nearby are the hills of Moidart from which can be seen the Hebridean Isles of
Rhum, Eigg and Much. The nearest village, Acharacle, is 4 miles away where
there is a mini-supermarket, post office with cafe attached, a bakery, fish and
chip shop and two
hotels/restaurants serving delicious home-cooked food. We are 35 miles west of
Fort William. The Atlantic Ocean is approximately 5 miles away with beautiful sandy
beaches at Dorlin and Ardtoe.
