There are two routes to Dalilea:
- Follow the A82 northeastwards from Fort WIlliam and after 2 miles turn left
on to the Mallaig (A830) at The Road to the Isles BP Filling Station. At
Lochaillort (27 miles) turn left on to the A861. Travel for 15 miles to the
"Dalilea" sign. Continue on the main road for a further 100 yards until you
come to a gate with "The Old Poor House" on - this is where we are. Once
through the gate, bear left, we are at the end of the drive.
- Approximately 8 miles south of Fort William take the Corran Ferry, which
operates every day - bookings are not required. Leave the ferry and turn left
on the A861 to Strontian and follow signpost to Acharacle. Carry on through
Mingarry, Dalnabreck and Langal - proceed on up the hill for approximately 1 mile until you
come to a gate with "The Old Poor House" on - this is where we are. Once
through the gate, bear left, we are at the end of the drive.
Please note:
The gates, both at the front and the back of the house MUST be kept closed at
all times. Pets are welcome but please make sure that dogs are kept under
control.
Bin collection day is Wednesday. I would be most grateful if the bins could be taken down the drive and put on the grass verge outside the garden fence on a Tuesday night and brought up again on Wednesday or Thursday depending on the actual collection day.
Key collection to be arranged via Mrs. C. M. Gregson
